At Auburn Community Acupuncture we believe that health care should be accessible and affordable. Acupuncture is a therapy that requires, on average, 5-15 treatments for a minor/acute issue, major health issues can require more treatments. Acupuncture is also very beneficial as a preventative medicine and it is our goal to get you better and KEEP you better.
What is Community Acupuncture?
Rather than charging exorbitant rates or whining about the health care crisis we are offering up the solution of community acupuncture.
Acupuncture, as it is traditionally done in China, is a communal experience. We have comfortable recliners, low lights, relaxing music, white noise machines, all to provide a peaceful place to heal and rejuvenate. Plus there is the benefit that many patients notice called "community qi". When people come together for acupuncture treatments there is a tangible healing energy the sets upon the room which is felt to enhance the effectiveness of treatment.
New Patients will pay a flat fee of $70 for their New Patient appointment. Our clinic provides return acupuncture appointments on a sliding scale of $40-$70 and no income verification is required. At times you can afford more and at other times you may need to pay less, this system makes that workable.
In order for our $40-70 sliding scale to be sustainable: $40-49 is a good choice for folks who have low/fixed incomes and/or those receiving treatments multiple times per week. If you need to pay in this range, please do so! $50-59 is great for those who are able to afford the sustainer rate. It keeps us going! $60-70 is a huge help as it allows us to continue offering the low end at $40, provides us with funds for future renovations/emergencies and provides a little extra income for the acupuncturist to retire someday. We really appreciate it!
What we need from you, to make this available to you and others, is referrals. If your experience is positive then please share it with others, ask them to come check it out!
*Due to the nature of our clinic and the sliding scale, we do NOT take insurance, medi-cal, or medicare. You can however pay for a treatment with an HSA card.
